A Horse Is A Horse, Of Course, Of Course

On May 28, 2003, your mommy (age 11), Aunt Noni (age 7), and I were driving down 121st Street in Bixby, OK (where we lived) and Alina yelled, "HOLY COW!  Did you see that? They were like, like, they were like little, like little HORSES or something. No, I think they were HEDGEHOGS! We have to turn around! They were...you guys have to see them! Oh my GOSH!"

So we turned around to go see these strange and wonderful creatures and they were....dum dum duuuuuuum!  Geese.  Now granted they were not babies but yet not quite grown either and they were kind of at that awkward horsey hedgehog-ish stage, but they still were very obviously geese.

Chelsea said, "Alina. Do you even know what a hedgehog is?" Which was still very beside the point in my mind because even if Alina didn't know what a hedgehog was, she DID know what a HORSE was.

Chelsea continued, "Its kind of like a porcupine." Alina was like, "Oh. Well, I meant a gopher."

So, see you can't even trust a goose to look like a goose.

Mommy and Aunt Noni, right around the time of the story

You're so excited for summer!
