Clocks

Clocks help us keep time. Most clocks are digital now, but it is important to learn how to tell time on an analog clock too.

The numbers go in a circle from 1 to 12. There are two pointers that are called hands and they continuously go around the numbers. The longer hand is called the big hand and it goes faster than the little hand. The big hand counts the minutes and the little hand counts the hours. The little hand goes around the whole clock two times every day. The big hand goes around the clock 24 times every day. Each number stands for 5 minutes.
